The Nebraska Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (NCDHH) is seeking an Education, Youth & Family Liaison to serve as a statewide point of contact for Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing youth and their families.

This role supports families as they navigate education systems, services, and communication access—from early intervention through school-age and beyond. The Liaison works closely with students, parents, school districts, and IEP/504 teams to provide guidance, advocacy, and information on educational rights, communication options, and available resources.

In addition to direct family support, this position leads statewide outreach, delivers trainings, and builds partnerships with schools and community organizations to promote accessibility best practices. The role also contributes to program development and identifies opportunities to strengthen systems that impact youth and families.

The ideal candidate communicates fluently in ASL, has experience working within education systems, and brings a proactive, relationship-driven approach to supporting Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing youth.
